Dull Black ~ For hulls & general fittings |

Sold in 15ml bottles, Admiralty Paints Dull Black is a scale paint which we have colour matched to the Admiralty colours, as still used on HMS Victory in Portsmouth. As a result this black has a slight sheen (often referred to as eggshell or satin) as per the true Admiralty colour. Ideal for use on hulls and all general fittings. Paints Advice

Matt (Metal) Black ~ For all 'ironwork' |

Sold in 15ml bottles, Admiralty Paints Matt (Metal) Black is a true matt black. When viewed from differing angles at appears to vary from a solid black through to a grey-black, as a result it is ideal for use on all of the ships' ironwork.
Admiralty Paints are touch dry in 2 – 4 hours and hard dry in 8 – 16 hours depending upon drying conditions. These times will be extended under cooler conditions and accelerated under warmer conditions. Admiralty Paints Enamels are all white spirit thinnable. Due to the quality of pigments and chemicals used small amounts, of both enamels and waterbased, can cover larger areas. When applying more than one coat, the second coat should be applied after 24 hours of the first application. Not only will this ensure the paints do not turn glossy but in many cases, after 24 hours, you will find sufficient coverage from only 1 or 2 coats. Paints Advice
